Applicants must be qualified to teach Chemistry Honors, Chemistry, and Marine Science; all science courses have a lab component. Saint Francis School is seeking a college counselor for school year 2015-2016, he/she will be responsible for post-high planning process beginning with the exploration stage with juniors, to the selection and application process with seniors. The position also includes coordinating college visits and presenting at various workshops to assist students and families through this process. The College Counselor uses Naviance to engage students throughout this process and sends documents electronically to its recipients. Besides post-high planning, the College Counselor is also responsible for the academic, social, and behavioral well-being of his/her case load and to cohesively work with the other counselors in the department. English Teacher (Part-Time)
Saint Francis School has a part-time position for an English teacher. Daily schedule starts at 7:30 am and ends at 12:15 pm. Subject matter includes a year-long course on World Literature with sophomores, first semester of English Literature with seniors, and second semester of English Project with seniors. Candidate’s qualifications include: at least a BA (or equivalent) in English, ability to engage traditional size classes, good technological skills, and at least one year of teaching experience at the secondary level.
