I spoke with summer Nguyen about her “Change a straw, Save a life,” video and she had a lot to say. Summer’s intention of making this video was to, ”raise awareness for the pollution” that has been taking negative effects on our ecosystems. “Before I make any video I have to think if it will be easy or not and after I finish the video I researched a lot.” The research she did find that almost 500 Million plastic straws have been laying waste to our environment.
“Turns out this subject was way more serious than I thought, cause of environmental issues it would be a lot more friendly to use reusable things.”With reusable objects, there will be a lot less trash on land and in the ocean. With this video being in the public eye Summer hopes “that people will really pay attention to the message I am saying and that with using a metal straw it can help out a lot.” She wants us to live more environmentally-friendly and minimize our waste. “This video is the perfect start to follow my same lifestyle of saving our earth.”
People who follow the message of the video will “all live a better life,” when it comes to respecting the environment. Not only will this message help save our ecosystems it will soon help save our earth.
