RE: Transference of Saint Francis School Student Transcripts and Permanent Records

Dear Parent/Guardian,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, faculty, and staff of Saint Francis School, I wish to thank you for your continued support of our students and SFS ʻohana this year. With the closure of Saint Francis School at the end of the 2018-2019 school year, we wish to inform you of procedures related to the transfer of your student’s transcript and permanent record to his/her new school.

For grades PK to 8, all official records will be given to the parent/guardian on record in a sealed envelope at the end of May. The parent/guardian will deliver the official records in the sealed envelope to the student’s next school. The final report card will be mailed separately to the parent/guardian in June and not included in the student’s sealed file. Saint Francis School will not retain any student records for grades PK to 8.

High school transcripts will be sent directly from Saint Francis School to the student’s next school if known before July 13th, 2019. Following this date, schools may request transcripts from the Hawaii Association of Independent Schools (HAIS), which is housing and issuing digitized copies of all Saint Francis School student transcripts for grades 9 to 12.

In the meantime, if you have any questions regarding student records, please contact the following appropriate person:

Ms. Farrah Grace Derla, Preschool Director, fderla@stfrancis-oahu.org , 808-628-3727

Ms. Jocelyn Burch, Division Head, grades K-8, jburch@stfrancis-oahu.org , 808-628-3726

Ms. Karen Curry, Registrar, grades 9-12, kcurry@stfrancis-oahu.org , 808-628-3700

Dr. Philip Bossert, Executive Director, HAIS, pbossert@hais.us , 808-973-1539

Again, thank you for your continued support of Saint Francis School. Best wishes for a successful end of the school year.

Sincerely,

Casey M. Asato, Ed.D.
Head of School
