Performing Arts

Troubadour Marching Band and Color Guard

The Saint Francis School Performing Arts Department offers both Middle and Upper School Concert Band instruction. Band offers students the opportunity to learn music theory and play a musical instrument of their choice. The band’s calendar of events traditionally include the Marching Troubadours hosting winter and spring concerts and participating with its Color Guard in various local parades, such as the Manoa Christmas Parade and the Oahu Band Directors Association Parade of Bands. By participating in rehearsals, concerts, and parades, students make friends and many fond memories. All Saint Francis School students are eligible to join band.

Theatre and Drama

Our upper school Theater and middle school Performing Arts classes provide our students with the essential skills in theater with an emphasis on creativity and spontaneity. Students explore modes of expression through movement, voice work, improvisation, and acting techniques. Our annual school musical is open to students from second grade through twelve grade and gives our students the opportunity to act, dance and sing! Students gain invaluable performance experience as well as learn what it takes to put on a play.
